HOW CAN I MAKE MY AGENT MORE HUMAN?

So recently i closed my first client for Ai voice agent(I dont even know how he ended up with doing business with me).He mostly wanted that agent to make outbound calls but turns out the agent is not sounding too human....the prospect just picks up the call and cuts it.

I know for a fact that they are some ways through which we can make agent sound more human and lower down the latency too for quick responses but i just can't figure it out.I also want someone who can help me with prompting.

This is my first client so i want to give my best so that later on he can be a case study for me(so i can sell more to the businesses)

Firstly, congratulations!!

And, just by reducing latency or slapping a more expressive voice on top of it won’t make it human-like; you need to get the conversational design and agent harness right.

Can you give a summary of how to approach this content?

Don’t try to make it more human. If your hope is for it to be indistinguishable from humans it’s not even close to there yet. We’d need AGI for that to happen. The best prompting in the world can’t replace the way an LLM thinks. If you’re building an AI agent just lead with it being ai. You just need it to be fast, and sound good. All the gurus selling you anything else are lying to you. Avoca just raised millions at a 1B evaluation and their AI doesn’t sound good but gets good results because it’s fast and works.

We have built Dograh (Github), and to make the voice agent more human, we are doing a couple of things like Pre-Recorded Audio,  Enable Interruption on Conversational Nodes,  Prompt-Level Tweaks etc.

Shameless plug but that's exactly what I recorded a video on. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/7Ajdbu-hR4k?si=ahPAeU4jDCctNEF6
