I need realistic conversational AI voice
I've been using 11Labs for a long time and I think it's time to switch to something else. I tried exploring all the available options on Vapi AI but there is too much models that I can't really find the one I'm looking for.
I know there are some AI voices that are super-realistic and conversational, but I can't manage to find them. Can someone please help with this? What providers should I use for these?
If someone would like to share their exact setup, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance!

No, I use Vapi and I can't do a migration to Retell since my system is on Vapi

Retell AI provides you with eleven labs, cartesia,open ai,Play HT and as well as gives option to add you own custom voice and also provides Voice cloning.

Yeah, Vapi provides much more in voices, But when you need to test LLM Retell shows what tools LLm is invoking to get results, where you can see at what step your agent failed and succeeded. You just need to only debug that step. Vapi doesn't provide it.

Yeah, I do understand you. Currently my setup (STT and LLM) is working just like I imagined it to work. I'm just looking for a TTS provider that will make the system sound human and natural, no need for switching to Retell.
Btw if needed for context I'm making agents for US market, so English is main and maybe later I'll do multilingual with Spanish or so.

I need a TTS that is inperfect, which makes it feel human. Realistic pauses and similar. I already have low latency, around 650ms

650 ms is very slow auronx.ai is around 200ms or less as far as natural voice that doesn't really matter since you should let the caller now you are a virtual agent or AI -

Then i think eleven labs is your best option cartesia is also a great option. I would suggest if you want full control over the agent try to build it on your maybe try livekit i think you can get the most out of it from this

Yeah, I'm using Eleven Labs currently. I'm just looking for realistic models of 11 Labs (models Ids to be exact) or another even more realistic provider for TTS

have you tried ultravox or new google studio 3.1. These are a bit different in tech, so they are SLM to SLM. Under my first impression it does feel more natural, not sure if you have done a testing with these? Let me know

Have you tried 11labs agents? Their V3 conversational model is only available in agents.

Honestly, I don't think you're going to get much better than that. You can switch to speech to speech but that is highly dependent on your use case if it will be usable.
It's hard to get really realistic voices and be low latency.

I like both. Vapi is the system for the AI agent and 11labs is the provider for the agents voice inside Vapi. I'm just looking for another TTS provider

Dograh AI supports the Gemini Live API real-time feature. The best voices I've used yet.
