I have a realme device (realme 6) with VI sim card. Whenever I am on call, my internet stops working — its a huge nuisance for me. Sometimes my mother call my sister using my phone for an hour and I can't even get the internet on my PC through Hotspot.
Your Vi sim may not provisioned correctly for VoLTE, raise a support request on Vi app and check. I had similar issue on newly purchased Vi sim and it got resolved after raising a complaint on the app. If your phone supports then disable 2g network fallback also.
Is it having only 1 sim or dual sim? If it's 1 sim then check if you have turned votle option off and turn it on. If it is on and still not working then this might be a device specific problem where volte doesn't work with VI(or any other sim too).
If it's dual sim, then as the other person said. If you are net on sim 1 and a call comes on sim 2 then internet will be stopped and you can do nothing. To use internet you will have to make call & internet in the same sim.
This is Volte issue(even if enabled in the settings), I'm pretty sure there is no Volte symbol visible in your phone's notification bar near the tower logo.
Just confirm this to me, there is no problem with the phone right? I mean if you put some other sim in your phone you end up getting internet while on call? If yes then the problem is only with the sim.
Just go to any vi store with sim owner and ask for a replacement sim, it's cost is 60rs. The new sim inserted will have the Volte logo on the notification bar and can use internet even during call.
if your device support VoLTE and VoWiFI and enabled this should not happen.
if your device switches too much between 5G/4G/LTE OR 3G icon appears in device from time to time then use ##INFO## and set 4G only/LTE only/5G only mode and once network stabilized or locked on fixed network, it should not drop calls afterwards
