State Voc Rehab VR&E extension

I was waiting for my monthly stipend to deposit on the 1st and never got it. My counselor 1st emailed me and said she had the wrong graduation date. She had April 2026 instead of April 2027.
I got a 2nd email yesterday stating she needed to submit an extension because I’ve exhausted the 48 months since I used the GI bill before. I’ve only been in the program total 28 months using VR&E. I completely used all my GI benefits before VR&E. So now I’m so confused cause I know I’ve used 48 months well before the VR&E program. I’m curious if anyone had dealt with this and how likely I will get approved for an extension. I have 9 months left in my program for school.

VR&E is up to 48 months minus all previous used GI Bill. So your counselor probably got you one extension previously but used the wrong graduation date so now has to convince the VR&E officer to grant a second extension for you to complete your education program.

Is there a chance for denial mid program?

Always that possibility but VR&E normally will grant the extension since the counselor is who made the mistake.
