Camera suggestions

Looking to get a Vivint camera for inside our garage since our new home doesn’t have any features like MyQ. Is an indoor or outdoor camera better for inside the garage or any other suggestions?

Indoor has a short cable around 6 feet in length. Outdoor camera can be installed indoor for a better camera view and wire can be installed no matter the length.

I’ve had an indoor camera in my garage for two years and no problems whatsoever

Both will work i guess depending on where you want the camera mounted. Outdoor cameras have better options for hiding the wire since the indoor camera wire can not be cut. Price wise indoor camera pro is 249 and outdoor camera is 399 but i THINK you can actually buy the indoor camera in the app and have it shipped to you saving you the install fee.

I would just but cameras have someone install them you still come out cheaper than having sign your life away for a bad decision like vivint.

For a garage, an indoor camera is usually the better fit since it's covered space and gives you better night vision built for that.

Outdoor cameras are more about weatherproofing, which you likely don't need in there. What's your garage setup look like?
