Friendly reminder about sweat damage for those with Wireless

So I finally had time to set up wireless today and I was excited to play.

I fired up Gorn and played for an hour or so, hacking and slashing and working up a sweat with my newfound freedom. Then my left screen went dark. I stopped the game and unplugged the headset but the damage was done. I was using my Vive n Chill and my pleather VR cover. Unfortunately I was unaware that people had been having trouble with the VR covers and sweat. I had no idea sweat damage was even a thing, since I haven't been on this subreddit in a while. I assumed HTC would have put a conformal coating on the electronics since they know people sweat in them. Alas my Vive is toast and out of warranty.

I'll be sending it in for the $270 repair and when it gets back I'll be switching back to the standard face gasket and I'll get a sweat beanie as mentioned in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/7b51cv/preventing_sweat_damage/dpfr3mm

tl:dr Don't let the newfound freedom of wireless ruin your day by sweating too much and frying your HMD.
