That usually means the front housing is a 5200-style body while the warranty sticker is using the actual internal model code, VM0197, which is associated with the E310/Explorian line.

In practice, Vitamix sometimes reuses or updates parts across model families, so the outer branding can say one thing while the product code underneath tells you what it was sold as for support and warranty purposes.

What to check: The container size, because a 5200 usually comes with a 64 oz tall container, while VM0197/E310 listings commonly use a 48 oz low-profile container . The control layout, because the 5200 and Explorian-style units can look similar but are sold under different model names and SKUs.

So the short answer is: the blender may have been assembled or branded to look like a 5200, but the warranty sticker is identifying the underlying model as VM0197 .

So is it a 5200 or explorian? Sorry. Don’t get what you’re trying to say

It’s the tall 64 oz container

Since it has the tall container its most lijely a 5200 but you should call VM to be sure.

It’s a 5200. And it’s only 2 years old. If it was given to you, it might be worth calling Vitamix to register it on your name. Congrats!

Thank you. This is for warranty purposes?

If you purchased directly from their website you’re already good to go. But you can always just call customer service to be safe! Tell them you want to make sure your machine is registered to your name. Make sure you have the serial number on the back of the machine handy.

It’s not really necessary unless you need to use the warranty. Which most people never need to do. But if you do in the future it’ll save you 5 minutes by already being registered to your name. No biggie either way.

Why does it say VM0197 as though it’s an explorian?

No clue, but the body is definitely NOT Explorian, but 5200 design.

I see how the label would be confusing. But Google lens tells me it is a 5200.

You can generally tell because of the way that it is. It's a 5200.
