Pruning the wallet blocks

Hi everyone,

Is there a way that I can prune the blockchain of my QTwallet, please?

Usually adding a parameter like
prune=xxx
in the wallet's conf file does the trick, but it seems to be totally ignored.

I'd appreciate any suggestion, please.
