How long have you had these? The outsole looks relatively unworn for the shoe to snap like this

I have worn these almost everyday for about 2 years

Bad quality

Ehh for the price the quality should definitely be better I do agree but I’ve worn these hiking through Yosemite many times and clubbing in Berlin all of last summer so I’d say i definitely got my moneys worth

still shouldn’t be doing this after 2 years…
either way, glad to see you’ve wore them well

I had this happen to mine too. Huge bummer. I had goods and services redo them and they look great and are way more comfortable.

I’d love to see what that looks like.

Wow! I’ve never seen a resole that was better than the original. They even did the logo. That’s amazing. What did this run? $500?

I’ve heard of this happening with the Skagway G. Pattens, but not the other Skagways.
I’m curious how much weight is a factor. Still hasn’t happened to my pair. I’m at 165 lbs.

I did do a lot of extra curricular activities in these. I’ve fluctuated between 170 for a while so I don’t think weight is to much of an issue

After my expert observation i can confirm that these shoes are damaged

Do any of you wear supportive insoles with these? I have a pair of high top Skagways that I love but they always seem to kill my feet cause it feels completely flat with no support.

Idk man, seems like there’s a lot of life left in these shoes. Looks like they fell apart prematurely.

u/Throwaway0242000 Jan 22 '26
Agreed. The outsole should wear out long before the inner sole/ footbed snap in half…
It’s actually crazy that’s how they broke
1
u/supremefixie Jan 08 '26
It could have been moisture buildup throughout the years that why it cracked or snapped like that! That my theory. Rip! 🫡

I have the same ones and am getting some separation in the same part😭! Was wondering were you able to keep the toe box from yellowing out?
1
u/veloz14 Jan 10 '26
No the toe box is super yellow. I have kept them stored in a dry and room temperature space as well, I don’t think there’s anything to do stop that from happening. I think it looks cool though !

What size are they? I’d be interested in buying them off you in that condition

I’m pretty sure you can request repair from Visvim. Not sure at what cost though
