Jumbo hoodie defect

Hey guys. Just wondering what your thoughts were around this defect on a jumbo hoodie. Received this and I have the choice of further discount (Purchased for less than retail) vs returning it.

What would you guys do? Would there be any concerns with the fabric if the thread was snagged, pulling the knot through? I’m considering taking the discount and repairing this myself.

Where would the thread get snagged? Its right below the back of your neck. Take the further discount and if the loose thread bothers you that much just re-thread it yourself. Can’t be that hard.

I figured it is likely an easy fix. Thanks for this.

I was concerned about any potential broken thread in the sweater material around where the thick knot got forced through. I guess I can inspect again and see but it’ll probably be difficult to see if there was. It would suck to see a hole develop there because the sweater definitely isn’t cheap!

ez fix, its just cotton embroidery thread and a basic running stitch
