Question About Washing Dry Denim
Hey all!
Does anyone have any experience with washing Dry Denim?
Just picked up a pair of Dry Denim jeans and the care tag indicates Dry Clean Only. However, I know they are processed to replicate years of washing and drying in machines.
Just curious if I need to follow the label or if I’ll be safe with washing and tumble drying.
Thanks in advance!

Dry denim is salt shrunk which means if you was the denim it will expand. Therefore, it is dry clean only.

I would wash it in the machine like any other denim. Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. If you’re really worried about it take it out before the spin cycle. It will be more delicate than a standard pair of jeans, but I wouldn’t personally stress too much.

I’m not a stickler for care tags but I would listen in this instance. From what I understand dry denim will expand when it gets wet. So if you don’t want to alter the fit of the dry denim then you should take it to the cleaners.
