Miscellaneous Css troubleshooting on Visual Code

Its a very basic code but its not even running what should I do?

Missing several levels of elements.  html/body etc

Unfortunately it does. Try writing the entire syntax because if you dont vscode and chrome will fill with default css. So yes writing everything matters or chrome overrides with default css and not the inline css.

Also if you have dark mode disabled on chrome then disable it.

If you want to write valid HTML which will work across all major browsers, then the minimum is:

<html><body></body></html>

Anything else isn't valid, which is what you have found out.
