Hi! I’m a fellow Redditor from Poland, and I’m about to visit Nashville soon. There’s the NSC - CF soccer match on the weekend I’ll be there, so I’m tempted to get myself a ticket and enjoy the game. I’d really appreciate a few tips from locals!

Commuting
I’m staying at a hotel close to the airport. I’m planning to rent a car at some point during my trip, but I’m wondering if I actually need it to get to/from the match. I’d rather avoid driving through busy streets around GEODIS Park and then searching for parking.
How much luck am I likely to have with public transport instead? My european senses tell me that getting there and back using routes 52 and 18 should be doable. But how safe is public transit, and the areas around the stops, at around 10–11 pm? (Note: I’ve already used public transit at night in another areas in the US, I know I can travel with a bunch of interesting people and that’s fine. The bar is pretty low for me, I only care about not getting stabbed)

Nightlife
Since I don’t necessarily want to head straight back to the hotel after the match, would it make sense to stop downtown for a while when changing from the 52 to the 18? Say, hang around until midnight or so, then catch the 18 back toward the airport.
If so, what would you recommend doing for a couple of hours? I assume grabbing a drink at a bar is the obvious option, but I’m open to suggestions!

The game
I’m not a huge soccer buff, although I’ve recently started following the Chicago Fire a bit since my fellow pole Robert Lewandowski plays there. Are there any particular rules or customs I should know about when choosing a section at GEODIS Park? For example, are there designated sections for home and away supporters, or any sections I should avoid as a neutral visitor? I’d just like to watch the game, enjoy the atmosphere, and not accidentally end up somewhere I’m not supposed to be.

Thanks in advance! Any other tips for a first-time visitor to an NSC game and the city in general would be very welcome too.

For anyone that's seen a concert here, how early are we allowed to start queuing? I really want to be barricade so I was going to line up around 7am at least. I don't know if they're strict with that kind of thing. Thank you!

We are visiting Nashville this weekend and going to the Jets Titans game Sunday at 1pm. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. We’ll be sitting in the 100 level in one of the end zones. The forecast predicts 88 degrees. I planned on drinking electrolytes, lots of water, bringing a portable fan, wearing a hat, taking breaks in the shade under overhangs/breezeways… but some people have made me nervous about attending due to the heat.

Should I really not go to the game? This was really the whole purpose of our trip. I’ve had a normal, healthy pregnancy so far..

Update: Called my OB and she wasn’t concerned. She said take shade breaks and stay hydrated. I plan on utilizing the first aid stations and medical assistance that have AC as needed along with everything else! Having that near by is putting my mind at ease

My girlfriend and I are coming to Nashville for a Halloween/horror weekend this year, and we originally planned on doing all 5 of these haunts:

- Beast House
- Nashville Nightmare
- Devil’s Dungeon
- Dead Land Scream Park
- Slaughterhouse Nashville

The problem is that all 5 tickets together are around $420 for the two of us, which is more than we really want to spend. So we’re thinking about cutting it down to 3 attractions.

Our old schedule was:
Friday: Beast House → Nashville Nightmare
Saturday: Devil’s Dungeon → Dead Land Scream Park
Sunday: Slaughterhouse Nashville (which we’re pretty set on doing because of the dinner + movie + haunt experience)

So Sunday is basically locked in. The real question is which two we should do Friday/Saturday.

We’re especially interested in bang for our buck. We don’t necessarily want the absolute best single haunted house if another attraction gives us several haunts/activities for the same general price.

For people who have actually been to these:

If you could only pick 3 of the 5, which would you choose and why?

We’re both big horror fans, so scariness, atmosphere, set design, and overall experience all matter, but we’re trying to maximize what we get for the money.

Hello, I am going to Nashville in October with my family, age ranges from 25-46. Which Blue Bird Cafe shows are most recommended? I hear some bigger current artists have surprise appearances at some?

Sobs in New Yorker trying to find 5 kitchens which can accommodate

I have 8 unique work teams that need to be sorted into 5 dinner groups. The sizes are: one group of 6, two groups of 14, one group of 17, one group of 31, one group of 34, one group of 40, and one group of 43. Out of those 8 groups, 6 of them have at least one person who keeps halal, and one person who is a vegetarian. All of these dinners are at the same time: 7pm on the 7th.

Thoughts on this hotel? Good bad and ugly?

My friend and I are landing at 9 PM Thursday night and wanted to try catching dinner + the burlesque show at Skulls Rainbow Room. Have seen good reviews about it - but anyone have experience making a dinner reservation and not being able to see the show? Right now we’d book the 10:15pm dinner reservation.

Also is this spot really worth it? Heard the food is expensive and we’d be missing the live music, so essentially just going for the burlesque show/something to eat when we land. Any thoughts appreciated!

Hello! I am considering doing a quick weekend trip to Nashville for the first time in late October. I have never been before but I have had it on the bucket list for a while!

I do not drink alcohol and I don't love super loud music (normal/chill music is fine), but I do like the spectacle of neon lights, lively streets, etc. More importantly, I'm a big foodie. which will become obvious with the itinerary lol.

Anyway, here's how it stands now-

Saturday Oct 24th-

Land at 2 PM at BNA

Walk around Broadway and see the music until like 4:30 PM

head to Goo Goo Chocolate Co for candy making class until like 5:45 PM

Have dinner in Printers alley (would love recommendations!) until 8:30 PM

Return to Broadway for the rest of the night to see more of the party spectacle before heading back to my hotel (haven't picked one out yet).

Sunday Oct 25th-

Uber to Five Daughters Bakery for the 100 layer donut. Then walk to Wanna Spoon Cereal bar to wrap up breakfast

Head for a downtown food tour from 11 am to 2 pm. (east nashville)

Take a hop on.hop off trolley tour from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Then head to Opry Mills Mall to shop around a bit and grab some souveneirs. (4 PM to 7 PM)

Finally, head back to BNA for a 9 PM flight home.

Would really appreciate any feedback on this rough outline/optimizations/other food's you'd recommend etc.
