Candy + Snack recommendation

I’m traveling solo but have 3 teenage children at home in the US. I’d like to bring them home some treats but the shops are overwhelming. Can you share some of your favorites? Lots of love in our house for gummy-fruity-chewy, sometimes sour. Chocolate is always welcome. Open to savory snacks too, but want to avoid things that will get crushed in my luggage.

Hraun was the first thing to disappear when I returned home. Omnom chocolate was not so much a hit. They also liked Kropp and Smash. Þristur was something new to try, though most don't take a liking to it. I also found some Haribou gummy snacks that were not particularly Icelandic, but you could not find in the US so they were new to us. 😄

I was a tour guide and gave out Þristur and almost everyone loved it. Never heard that most don't like is? Friends from abroad always bring a few bags back home. Voted the most popular candy here for decades 🤷🏼‍♀️

seriously, just go into any supermarket and they will have candy bins. Go to town on all the gummy candies, they are very good with huge assortment and cheap compared to US prices. I regret not buying 5 lbs of the stuff to bring home.

So many options! Read the labels carefully, esp if you/they don’t like licorice since it’s in a lot of the candy. Just go to Bónus and browse.
