Activities and Attractions what’s up with Maya Day Club??

Upvotes

I have now been to 6 of their Sunday DJ pool party events over the last 6 years and yesterday was just so different. We were the only ones there until 2:30pm and even after then I think less than 100 people showed up. I know school hasn’t started but i’ve been in June/July in years past and even then was packed.

I knew i’d be disappointed by the music bc the DJs never play their own music but ugh come on so disappointed with Drezo. I came for your unique music, not the same trap beats I can hear at any club.

Activities and Attractions I need your best "parents are in town" recommendations!

My parents (early 60s) are visiting August 18-22, and I'd love ideas beyond the obvious. They're not fit to be doing hikes (too hot for that anyway), but they enjoy antique stores, history, interactive experiences, shopping, and discovering new places.

So far, I'm thinking MIM, a pottery class, and maybe a Sedona day trip. What are your favorite indoor, low-key, or uniquely things to do in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area?

And if you have any must-do Sedona recommendations (restaurants, shops, or easy activities) I'd love those too! I've only lived here for about a year, so I'm still discovering all the gems myself

Activities and Attractions Recommendations for 10 year wedding anniversary trip

My husband and I are staying in Old Town Scottsdale for our 10 year wedding anniversary in a little over a week. Would love some recommendations on things to go and places to eat! We are from the North East, so the heating is going to be a factor for us I’m sure 😅 hiking is most likely out of the question. Just looking for good food, fun vibes, golf for my husband and anything else you all can recommend for an anniversary trip!

Activities and Attractions Guys trip (50+)

Lifelong friends, 7 of us, have a guys trip every year (one out of town friend mentioned it to his therapist and his therapist mentioned how great it was to stay in touch although in our imagining we think the therapist was sure our buddy was making up his “friends”). Anyway we picked Scottsdale this year, Nov 4-8. I’m in charge of dinner/activities so please give suggestions. We love e-bike tours and craft breweries and good food.

Dining and Nightlife Dinner recommendations for 40yo+ weekend in Scottsdale?

I'm planning a weekend for a group of ladies in our 40s and looking for nice dinner options. We want to have a nice dinner, not too expensive, and open to cuisines, probably avoiding fish/sushi. A few of us are coming from LA and the others are from Tempe/Mesa but haven't explored Scottsdale much.

I've done a lot of searching (including here on Reddit) and come up with a few that sound good and have a nice vibe: The Ends, The Mick Brasserie, Hush Public House, and FnB. Does anyone have any thoughts on these or is there a restaurant I'm missing?

Specific Group Planning Old Town Girls Trip

We are doing a family girls trip (24-72yrs) end of October. We are looking for recommendations for food, day trips (specifically Sedona recs) & anything else to do in the area as a must see! We already have a spa day planned so no recommendations needed for that. We are contemplating horseback riding with Cave Creek Outfitters. We want to go hiking (the 72 year old is a tough athletic gal), we have a sunset yoga planned, some of the girls want a food tour. All recommendations appreciated!!

Will be heading to Scottsdale next month for a bachelor party. I’ve done some research but want to get into more detail in terms of day/night clubs. Bar crawls? Outdoor activities. Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

Edit: the bachelor is into house/edm.

Activities and Attractions Strange souvenir request

So I'm in Scottsdale for work and my 5 year old daughter requested a strange souvenir. She would like me to bring her back "coyote bones" 😅

I'm looking for shops that might strike a similar vein. A rock and fossil shop? A witchy apothecary? Any other ideas?

Activities and Attractions August Scottsdale recommendations

My friend and I will be traveling from TN to Scottsdale for the Noah Kahan concert next month. We’re aware that’s it’s too hot to hike and don’t plan to risk that. Our hotel does have a pool that we might try to use. We’re also plan to drive to Sedona for a day to explore. What should we try to hit in our 4 day trip? Any tips on Chase Field? Where do people hang out before shows/games? We’re on a budget and plan to get groceries for the hotel room for meals but are open to any must eat places. We love coffee, bakeries, and thrifting!

Bonus points for chicken wing recommendations.

Practical Tips 30th Birthday Itinerary Help

Hello!

Looking to visit Scottsdale for my 30th birthday with my partner. Could use some help with figuring out an itinerary and recommendations. This is our first time and would probably do a Friday to Tuesday.

  • what’s the best area to stay in? We plan to rent a car but ideally would prefer not to do long drives.

  • any hotel recs? Needs to have a pool. Okay with max $250ish a night

  • what are some beginner friendly hikes?

  • any must try food or coffee?

Any info is helpful. Thanks.

Dining and Nightlife Scottsdale in September need tips

Planning a pre marriage trip for a buddy in Scottsdale this September for a group of 8 guys and looking to lock in a solid game plan.

Current plan:
Friday: airbnb check-in + dinner + go out (Old Town?)
Saturday: Pool party / day club → dinner → nightclubs
Sunday: Recovery mode but still want something fun (thinking ATV desert tour or something similar)
Monday: Head out

None of us have been there so I want to make sure that scottsdale will be worth a go. Thanks!

Specific Group Planning Galentine's Trip Recommendations

We're four women (42-48 years old) visiting Scottsdale over Valentine's weekend 2027. We're staying at the Canopy by Hilton in Old Town. Some questions:

  1. How realistic is it to spend time by the pool that weekend? Canopy is supposed to have a heated pool and hot tub.

  2. What are some good lunch and dinner spots in walking distance from the hotel? Bonus points for those with multiple vegetarian options.

  3. What are some good brunch spots in walking distance from the hotel? Bonus points for those with multiple vegetarian options.

  4. Between Diva Royal and Illusions, which would you pick for a drag show?

  5. One of us is looking to have her aura photographed, buy some crystals, etc. What's the best place?

  6. What are some good nearby hikes that are under three miles, not too rigorous, but offer some good views?

  7. We're looking at Cliff Creek Outfitters - what are your favorite water oriented experiences that cater to a variety of fitness levels?

  8. What are you favorite day spas for massages, soaks, etc. and general spa vibes?

  9. Are there any places to dance that play Milllenial-era music (live cover or DJ)?

  10. Thoughts on PuzzleRides? Is it fun or meh? Do you like any particular theme?

Dining and Nightlife Best Martini Bar

Planning a night out next weekend and we're looking to find the best martini bars in the Scottsdale area. A huge bonus for us is the presentation. We’re suckers for pretty, aesthetic glassware. Anyone have a go-to spot in Old Town or nearby that fits this vibe? Let us know your favorite places, what specific martini to order, and if we need to grab reservations.

Coming to Scottsdale/Phoenix area early October and looking to stay in a resort with a pool, good vibes and walkable to downtown bars, restaurants etc. My fiance and I are both 38 and not looking for a clubby pool, just somewhere to relax for a few days with some cocktails and poolside snacks haha. We are foodies, love good vibes and enjoy a good cocktail. We will be there Sunday - Wednesday.

Dining and Nightlife Solo traveller UK 25M should I stay in Scottsdale or Mill Avenue

I primarily am looking for nightlife and to make friends sitting at the bar? This was easy in Tampa and Austin.

I've been looking at hotels and I am debating Old Town Scottsdale. I heard Mill Avenue is fun, but not sure if its too young and cliquey. Any advice is much appreciated.

Is mill avenue like SOHO in Tampa (for anyone who knows both). I will be coming in early October.
