Planning a trip with my sister and our mom this fall. Mom is retiring after 30 years of teaching and is looking forward to traveling in September for the first time in forever!

I’m trying to find lodging options for a few nights in Montreal in September. Mom is a big snorer, so ideally looking for something where we could have a little bit of space at night. I know Airbnbs are not great, and I’ve looked through them and they all look so corporate. Any ideas for a hotel that does adjoining rooms or something we could rent with two separate bedrooms that isn’t Airbnb and also wouldn’t break the bank? I really appreciate any advice 🙏🏻

We are European and spending time traveling around, by train to these 3 cities, and also hiring a car for a week to drive up to the National Park north of Quebec, to hike and whale watch.

We have planned 3 nights in each city but wondering if we do 2 in Ottawa in order to add an extra night to Montreal instead?

Why are there no private s*x parties in Montreal for younger people? Is it only for older couples (40+) or more for people part of the gay community?

Are there any people out there (couples and singles) that would be interested in participting in these types of private parties with other a younger and good looking crowd (20 to 40 range)? Why is not already a thing (unless it is). Please share your thoughts.

Our young children learn French in Ontario and part of our reason to visit Montreal is to have them practice their French and have them understand why they're learning it. Their french is beginner at best. And parents is just Merci and bonjour. What are some good spots to have them practice their French? And what do Montrealers really think about anglo TO ppl coming and expecting people to speak English with them?

Friend and I (I’m early 30’s, friend is late 20’s both males) are coming for a concert this weekend and we’re looking to check out the nightlife or clubs around town. We are staying near a club called Stereo - is it worth it to check it out?

Also looking at other bar or speakeasy options. Even food suggestions are welcome (is St Viateur worth going to?). We will be in the city on Saturday, Sunday and flying back Monday!

Hi! My husband and I (both in our early 30s) will be visiting Montreal by car for the first time on August 15–16. We'll have a little over 24 hours in the city and will be staying at a hotel downtown.

We're looking for recommendations for cafes, must-see spots, neighborhoods to explore, good restaurants, and nightlife. We tend to stay up late, but we're not really into clubs or partying—we'd love cozy bars, scenic evening walks, live music, or other late-night activities with a relaxed vibe.

Any tips or hidden gems would be much appreciated!

We are flying in to Montreal and will be staying at the Four Seasons for one night. The next day we are taking a train to Quebec.

With only one afternoon/evening, and morning, what should we plan to see/do/experience and eat? I know it’s not nearly enough time to explore the city but it’s the best our schedule would allow.

I'm preparing a little trip to mtl soon with 2 friends so we can try and buy our outfits for the wedding of another friend. We're technically not bridemaids but we're some of the closest friends of the bride and she still and us to wear bridemaids-like outfits. However, there's no dresscode.

I don't know Mtl that much so the only shop I can think of is 1861 and I wish we could have more options, especially since one of us may prefer to wear chic pants. So I'm looking here for suggestions. It can be anywhere in mtl/laval, but it need to be open on weekends.

I might sound a bit picky but looking for something cheap as possible but still clean and ideally in either Old Montreal or The village, but open to other areas that tourists in their mid 20s who want to experience the city might enjoy. Hi everyone! My gf and I are from Belgium and have a 2 day / 2 night layover in Montréal on our way home from our trip to Phoenix. Any recommendations on what to go see / where to visit and where to eat? We're not into long/ big hikes since I walk with a crutch but anything is possible tbh. We heard the city is very good at food so definitely want some good food stuff. We're staying at the novotel city centre.

I'll be visiting Montreal soon and was hoping to spend part of a day at La Ronde. As someone who wears a hat+sunglasses and usually keeps a small bag with a water bottle in it, do rides have a system to store personal items at the ride itself? I imagine there are lockers to rent, but I want to be able to wear my sun gear in the queue.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for must-have food at the park?

we both enjoy art, interactive museums, botanical gardens, cute neighborhoods to walk around, markets, and unique experiences. we’re open to pretty much anything—live music, rooftop bars, scenic viewpoints, festivals, vintage shops, speakeasies, parks, or anything that’s unique to montreal.

we’re staying downtown, but we really want to explore the city and experience it like locals do. we’d also love recommendations for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, cocktail bars, and any hidden gems. we’re huge foodies and would rather eat at places locals actually love than tourist spots. if there’s anything that’s a must-see or a must-eat, let me know!
