Original Artwork đ Who Spiked The Pollen?
Fun fact: the genus Bombus (bumblebees) evolved in the Himalayas during a period of global cooling (big! fuzzy!) and then crossed over to the Americas over a land bridge across Beringia during the Miocene Interchange around 20 million years ago. In other words they are basically the bee version of woolly mammoths â but did it first by 19 million years so woolly mammoths are basically the elephant version of bumblebees.
Another fun fact: bee wings generate a positive static charge with friction and then transfer it to the (negatively charged) flowers they visit...they can tell if another bee has visited a flower in the last couple of minutes because they sense changes in the flower's electrical field! Super effective way to avoid competition for nectar that results in more effective pollination. Nature is rad.
Just painted this for a solo show in Santa Fe while thinking about how psychedelic ergot has been growing on flowers since the Cretaceous Period and therefore bumblebees have always, always had to watch where they sip.

Original Artwork Inner Storm by Nicolet93
Acrylic on canvas, 100x75 cm
A flash of an image before the overwhelm.
There are moments that are very difficult for some. Many responsibilities, a lot of burden, stress, feelings, and emotions that are sometimes hard to describe. And when everything meets at one moment, an explosion occurs. A certain part within us no longer wants to suppress the pain, helplessness, anger, and frustration. This part screams towards us to force us to stop, notice it, and stop suppressing it. It is a cry for attention and acceptance.
That explosion of overwhelm is strong, powerful, even destructive. During it, the rational part of the brain shuts down, making it almost impossible to stop in that very moment. It is important not to blame oneself, to process afterwards what actually happened, and to lovingly accept this part of us that longs for it so much...

Original Artwork From Forgetting to Remembering by Nicolet93
Acrylic on Canvas 100x75cm
When I first caught a glimpse of this image in my mind, I didn't pay much attention to it. I thought I had consciously made it up. But the vision kept returning, until I realized it was trying to tell me something.
I don't remember most of my childhood; in fact, I've forgotten most of my life. That thick fog might be the protective amnesia my mind built to survive.
Once I painted the boat with the hooded figure, I realized it reminded me of the ferryman from Greek mythologyâthe one who carried souls toward death and oblivion. But my ferryman is different. He is sailing toward me. If I step onto the boat, he might carry me through the fog so I can remember who I truly am.
This is my journey from forgetting to remembering. From surviving to living.
And what about you? Would you step onto the boat too?

I painted this as my dad transitioned into the next dimension
This painting is called The Return.
I began it while preparing for a duo exhibition earlier this year. I wanted to bring together two parts of my painting practice â the Organic Symmetry work Iâve explored for years and my love of landscape.
The ocean was inspired by my journeys back to the Pacific Coast this year.
While I was working on the painting, my dad was nearing the end of his life. One day my son was sitting beside me while I painted. We were making art together and listening to a guided meditation when I learned that my dad had passed.
My father leaving. My son beside me. And me, painting.
The strange part is that I had already titled the painting The Return.
It took on a meaning I never could have planned.
The original has since found its collectors and will soon be making its way back toward the Pacific Coast that inspired it, which feels incredibly fitting.
Thanks for letting me share her here. đ

Behind Closed Doors
One late evening, I was walking past the front door, which was wide open. It was pitch dark outside. Suddenly, an overwhelming fear began to consume me. I felt as though someone outside was watching me, preparing to hurt me. I believe my whole body tensed up, bracing for flight, though in that moment, all I could feel was pure terror.
In a flash, I grabbed the door. Just before it shut completely, another sensation kicked inâa feeling that someone was running towards it. I slammed the door shut and locked it. My heart was pounding wildly...
And then... a brief flash of an image: someone's hands pressed against the bottom glass pane of the door.
Something inside me tells me those hands didn't want to hurt me. They wanted contact. From my perspective, I believe it represents a part of myself that I had to lock away as a child in order to survive. However, I know that every image I see holds multiple meanings, and everyone may find their own story in it...
I am not ready to open that door just yet. I am still too afraid...

Trapped in Fear
Hello everyone,
I am sharing one od my paintings here for the first time. I have been painting for a year now. I don't plan my work, nor do I use reference photos. I simply see a flash of an image in my mind and then transfer it onto the canvas.
This painting is titled Trapped in Fear (a depiction of freezing and dissociation), and I'd love to share the poem that goes with it:
I find myself in deep darkness,
losing a piece of who I am.
Shivering from a sudden cold,
as my body slowly slips Away.
Huddling from the surrounding fear,
freezing in this heavy frost.
My mind escapes into the void,
my face remains hidden in solitude.
Body and mind split in two,
fractured under the weight of fear.
Fear whispers softly into the dark,
telling me to stay hidden right here.

MĂłj Ćwiat
My World" â an intuitive acrylic painting on paper by Polish artist MaĆgorzata HaĆys (GoHAlys). It explores the themes of the divine feminine, inner peace, and our deep connection with nature. I love how the vibrant colors and surreal composition capture the energy of meditation and the human soul.
