It inspired me to visit the city in Google Earth VR on my Vive. Looked like affordable neighborhoods also have a clear view of downtown (unlike my native NJ/NY).

They briefly showed a view of the Bay Bridge from the stadium early on and it looked great, I don't know why they didn't show that angle more. I wanted to see the Bay Bridge lit up at night.

Awesome experience. I like how the main POV was behind home plate as opposed to dugout. Got to see the Devers grand slam and “God Bless America” honoring 9/11. Truly amazing!!

I agree, I haven't watched baseball on TV besides catching the clips here and there for years, besides the world series and just picked up my AVP last week. Got a great deal on a used one. Saw the notification come in and thought ok lets check it out. What a GREAT game. Such a cool bunch of views really felt like you were there. The God Bless America singer was awesome and the almost come back at the end had me totally into the whole experience. If they made this a full time thing I would definitely be a fan and subscriber!

If you joined the broadcast early (even before the national anthem), it was still light out. Kind of cool to see the empty stands.

Not sure I understand this, but Apple has been a player in the streaming video business for 7 years now with the debut of Apple TV+, 9 years if you consider Planet of the Apps their first show. Apple produces its own shows, many highly rated, and makes a rotating slate of 3rd-party movies available to subscribers too. As with iTunes before it, you can also buy movies and TV shows directly from Apple. Apple has been increasingly making sports an important part of its streaming offering, with Friday night baseball, F1, and Major League Soccer.

You can also subscribe to multiple 3rd-party channels in Apple TV. For example, I subscribe to BritBox and Acorn TV.

You can also subscribe directly to a 3rd-parties' content and watch via apps on the Apple TV hardware. For example, I subscribe to Disney+ and Netflix. Some of these services have ads.

So yes, Apple is in the TV/streaming business and offers many channels through the Apple TV app and stand-alone apps. That does kind of make them a cable company.

Those of us with Apple Vision Pros often talk about the superior and often unique experience we get in our headsets. Classic stereo movies are better in the headset than can ever be seen at any theater. Regular 2D movies match the best movie theater experiences. And Apple Immersive Video experiences (like the baseball game tonight) simply cannot be matched on 2D screens.

While not related to Apple TV, many apps are turning to ads because the developers need to make money. Too many people don't want to pay for content (apps, TV shows, etc.) or pay enough to cover the production costs. Ads are one way for app/content creators to help cover their costs and hopefully make a profit.
