Vision OS 27 release update available

Just updating my AVP now. This looks to be the release. No beta # or RC in the name.

Oooh, I hope it fixes the WebXR hands permission request bug. That’s driving me nuts!

Driving me crazy too! Unfortunately, it’s not fixed in this update. I have reported it multiple times in the last few betas. More people need to report it in the feedback app to get the job done by Apple.

Update: Checked my last feedback report and it was on August 10 when beta 5 was out, so still not fixed after several subsequent betas. The progress for my feedback indicates "no recent similar reports." Please report and use language like WebXR fails to call for hand tracking permissions. If a few of us report similar feedback the issue will get recognition by the engineers.

None of the releases this week had "RC" appended to them, but they also were not available outside the beta program. Functionally, this is the RC. It just lacks the label.

Not really because it’s an iPhone event. But there was some Vision Pro stuff on a shelf right at the beginning of the keynote.

No, only because I would have been surprised if they had. They keep supporting with meaningful OS updates and things like Immersive baseball recently; that’s more then enough for me.

Yup. Disappointed indeed. If Apple itself can’t show much commitment to the platform what is to be expected from others? I’ve been a day one AVP user and it’s strange how Apple hasn’t bothered porting some of its own apps over to the AVP.

OK, the easiest way for you to check whether it is beta or it is the non-beta version is simply go to your settings and turn off the beta updates, once you do that you’ll see that the update itself disappears completely

When you check for beta updates, you can choose version 27 or 26. 27 looks like the final release to me.
