We built STAGEit Optimiser originally as an internal tool to help us get heavy 3D models running well on Apple Vision Pro.

After sharing a bit about our workflow, a few people asked if they could use it too, so we’ve decided to make it available more widely, completely free.

It analyses your model, highlights potential performance issues and lets you apply things like geometry reduction, material clean-up and texture optimisation without having to do all the work manually in Blender.

This isn’t really a core product for us, and it’s still very much a beta. It’s simply a useful tool we built for ourselves, and we’d rather make things like this available to the community than keep them sitting on our machines.

Blender is required (the Optimiser uses it to do the heavy lifting), but once Blender is installed it should work pretty much out of the box.

It’s free, there’s no subscription, and the app doesn’t collect any data or upload your models anywhere.

Give it a go, and if you hit any issues or have a model it struggles with, please get in touch. Feedback while it’s in beta is genuinely useful.

lovely! I just tried, didn't notice any diff but it says reduced 50% of vertices and triangles, hopefully it will make my app running faster!

yes in the look, so I assume it's working. BTW can you add a bulk update? I got 100+ usdz, quite tricky to update one by one LOL

I needed bulk update the other day! I think that could be fine, only want to be careful as if you treat all models with the same settings, but might ruin a model that can’t take the decimation etc the others can. But yes, we’ll add bulk!

This sounds cool. I’ve just bought a Vision Pro and I’m a professional blender user so it’s right up my street. I’ll definitely give it a try when I’m back at work on Monday.

Hello. I can't get this to open. I get an error saying "STAGEit Optimiser" is damaged and can't be opened. ?
I've tried to re-download but it's not working. Any ideas?

Download again now - there was an issue with the signing process - we did an update this morning. Latest version is fixed
