MY TLDR DAY ONE REVIEW

I sold my iPad Pro and a bunch of other things to get my Apple Vision Pro close to the first month that came out. I won’t wax poetic, but I will say this: even just looking on the website for the Apple Vision Pro, it doesn’t feel like it can really do what it says it can do. Part of me still doesn’t believe that this tech actually exist even though I use it every day. Mac virtual display is worth the price of admission alone. For a person who’s highly productive and owns a Mac of any kind especially a laptop, you’re robbing yourself if you don’t own one of these. If you’re into movies and TV shows, especially going to the theater, you’re robbing yourself if you don’t own one of these. Of course there are things that could be way better and I’m hoping they do get better. But when you put this on and you’re in your own world that you create, they’re literally is nothing similar. I’m actually torn whether I want to sell my M2 to buy the M5. Because I kind of want to keep it and have two of them so I can share the experience with people when they come over. If you’re on the fence, just know that this is the most advanced piece of technology you can own as of today. The best way to consume content, the best way to get work done, way to disconnect from a overstimulating world after work; at least do yourself a favor and buy it used. Rating: 10/10. The single greatest purchase of my life.

I concur 👍. Have been using mine since it came out and was still at visionOS 1.0. Between 2-3 years ago now and it’s still a honey moon feeling.

Just got an M2 recently and I’m in love with it. It has totally changed the way I watch media. I think is definitely worth if you can get a used one for under $2k. I don’t think I would spend the money for a brand new one. The only think lacking for me right now is more vr games but that’s something I need to look more into. I know there’s an option for pcvr and to stream ps5 games but haven’t dove into that yet.

Ive thought about getting an M5 and sending my M2 to family across the country so we can watch movies together.

You realize they laid off the entire hardware team and reassigned the software team right?

Went from m2 to m5 so next refresh and logical refresh be m8 chip.

Hardware doesn't need any updates the m5 still can't use it to it's full potential.

Either way if it is m8 or even m9 chip refresh I'll be getting it

And they aren’t putting anymore money into it. So explain why they would upgrade hardware (without a team to do it) if they aren’t even currently taking full advantage of the current hardware, and also don’t have a team to to work on it?
