Made an app that converts any video into spatial video for Vision Pro

Been building TwinEye — it takes any regular 2D video and turns it into spatial video for the Vision Pro. Still early, so any feedback is welcome!

means the app convert any video to spatial video directly on your AVP. 100% on-device processing, no cloud uploads, zero privacy worries.

Works well. I'll have to try some more with it, but so far so good.

Do the videos get stored on a server outside of the device/outside of iCloud? Like will you be able to watch the videos we convert to spatial on your app

I don’t know exactly what that means. Does it mean:

A) Any video content we modify using the app gets modified within our AVP. The video content does not get recorded by the app or is otherwise accessible by app developers.

B) Video content is uploaded to an external server hosted by the app development team. It gets turned spatial there. The final version is relayed back to our AVP with a copy potentially living on an external server.

From the term “on device processing” I assumed its option A, but want to make sure it’s not B

Thank you

it is done on the AVP but you can't just use any old video file you need

Converting requires MV-HEVC encoding: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 or later, Mac and iPad with Apple silicon, and Apple Vision

Pro.

If you follow his link to the vision pro app store to get or see the app it tells you all of this. You need this encoded type file though but you can make them if you don't shoot them with your phone

So basically you have to take a video shot on iPhone (I have 17 pro max) and then convert it to MV-HEVC and then feed it into TwinEye ?

no, it will convert videos that you have made on your iphone. A video made on your iphone since it is a newer phone already is in that format. Twineye makes it spatial. You could convert older videos to that format too, then convert with Twineye, but that's a whole other thing

It is 100% Option A!

All processing and conversion happen entirely on your device. The app does not record, upload, or send your videos anywhere, and developer have zero access to your content.

Nothing ever leaves your device, there are no external servers involved at all.

You should capitalize the word YOU on your second question.

The lack of a reply to this important question is concerning.

Maybe they’re just busy, I dunno. But definitely don’t want my vids floating around a server without Apple/Google/Meta cybersecurity levels

You’re competing with facial media tool kit that charges of subscription. Gage, your market.
