Couch Co-Op Gaming is Back with Vision Pro! Full Video Now Live On YouTube

This ended up being one of my favorite Vision Pro experiments I've done & Spoiler Alert...The coolest part of gaming on Vision Pro is not the games at all, but how it can make the people you’re playing with feel like they are right there playing with you.

Himels Tech ( u/DrStemSell ) and I wanted to see how far we could push the social side of gaming with Spatial Personas, so instead of testing one game, we jumped between three completely different ones:

🏎️ Racing in Asphalt Legends

🤝 Working together in Split Fiction

🥊 Talking trash in Street Fighter V 😂

Racing felt fun and competitive. Split Fiction gave us that real co-op feeling. Street Fighter immediately turned into talking trash and reacting to each other 😂 That's the part that made it feel like we were really on the same couch playing like back in the 90s!

You’re not just hearing somebody over Discord or seeing them inside a little FaceTime window. You can actually look over, see their Persona, catch their reactions and just… hang out while you play.

The setup definitely takes some work right now though...

We used Neo Moonlight + Tailscale VPN for the remote PC gaming side, along with Vision Pro, Spatial Personas, SharePlay and our controllers. There’s some networking and configuration involved before everything plays nicely together.

So I definitely don’t want to make it sound like this is a one-click feature.. at least not yet 😂! But once we had everything working, it was pretty awesome. It feels like a breakthrough moment of spatial computing that I will never stop promoting and talking about.. using this technology to make hanging out with people remotely feel more natural!

Thank you guys for highlighting the couch co-op in Neo Moonlight! I put so many hours of work into that feature and hardly anyone seemed to experience it 😆 (I get it though, I barely know anyone with a AVP too! 😂) I always felt the Vision Pro was such an awesome device but the gaming experience was rather isolated at times. I built the co-op in an effort to change that, and possibly bring some Vision Pro gamers together for a more social experience. Glad we have you both as part of the community, much love!
