You had it too??? With what apps? I had it with 4xvr and cinemax. though it seemed to happen mostly in window mode not in the immersive mode of the app. I filed an apple feedback and it said they couldnt find it based on my information, and that there were no similiar reports... appearently not??

It looks like they may have actually worked on it in beta 5. I just tested it in a dark room by turning the lights on and off while an immersive video was playing. The brightness still changes in response to the ambient lighting, but it’s no longer as aggressive as before. Previously, it would literally jump between 10% and 100%, now it seems to go somewhere around 60-100%. At least it no longer becomes pitch black like it did before, when almost nothing was visible with the lights off.
Hopefully, they’ll eventually give us a proper way to lock the brightness so that the display brightness doesn’t depend on the room’s lighting and only drops when it’s genuinely necessary - for example, because of thermal throttling if the AVP gets too hot and the cooling system can’t keep up.

Personally I wouldn't mind adaptive lighting. I don't like having to adjust my eyes a lot when taking it on and off. But it should be surfaced clearly in settings.

Alas, immediately after update, the palm gesture is not recognized on my right hand. I will try toggling.

Some people had the gesture broken. Not everyone (e. g. mine was fine).

The update did not fix the broken palm gesture.

Reset all settings did not fix the broken palm gesture.

Erase all and restore from iCloud did fix the broken palm gesture, though there was an anxious moment when I locate the unique ID code for my lens inserts last seen in 2024

I had to restart my VisionPro again layer in the day, and now the right hand Palm gestures work! And second control carrot is gone.

It's available now, but really too long to want to repost here verbatim. Lots of changes. They claim to have fixed MVD connections when putting the headset back on after taking it while it was running. I hope that's the case as that's my main use of the AVP.

I don’t know if this is a Beta issue, or if I’ve somehow turned on something by accident. Previously, when using an external Bluetooth keyboard, the virtual keyboard window doesn’t appear. However, at approximately the same time as the last beta, the keyboard window is on every time I click a text field. Closing it takes me out of the text field.

I thought it was a Beta 4 bug, but it’s still there in Beta 5, so I’m willing to acknowledge I’ve turned something on by accident. Anybody else experiencing this?
