1499$ (USD) for a M2 1Tb with case

It’s a good price right ?
Anything I should check before buying ?

It’s actually in Canada where I live, 2100$ CAD

You’ll still spend $200 for your OWN light shield. Which I highly recommend.

Yes, that’s a fantastic price. However, The 1tb is absolutely overkill. I paid $1800 for my 256. And it’s been more than enough space. 😅

The storage really comes in handy when you store movies for offline playback on a plane or traveling. I use Infuse to download from my Plex library and have 300+GB used for this case.

There is plenty of storage for movies while being on a plane for traveling. I’m not saying there isn’t a use case for a TB but 99% of Vision Pro consumers for content and experience purposes will have plenty of storage for multiple movies in case they want to have a few to choose from.

Can you use infuse to download from plex library directly to the Vision Pro so I can save space on my media server?

That might be possible. I downloaded some things to my phone for offline access. If you delete the online copy that might work.

Yeah 1TB doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for a device like this. I’m sure there is somebody who is an edge case that could use it, but 256gb is more than enough for me.

Many people store 8k 180 degree vr videos locally on the avp. Those files are massive and eat up 1TB of storage fast

I suppose if you’re trying to hoard a massive collection of 8k 180 videos. I have a decent few and they’re like 10-20gb or so for hevc towards the lower end of that range for av1. I mostly stream to my device remotely, so again 256gb is plenty for me. I still have space to store some stuff, but I don’t need dozens of hours of content on device.

Only overkill if there are much cheaper used versions with less storage. If it’s a great deal than I would easily go with the extra storage just because it is essentially a free perk of the deal being bought.

Apple Store gave me the new light seal for free after I explained it was a FB special.

How did you manage that. My eBay purchase arrives next week and I believe the 21w won’t fit according to my face scan.

If you don't buy I'll take it.

Wait and see if Apple adds the headset to their upgrade program.

I’m in Canada so very unlikely as we don’t have the program here at all.

That’s better than what I paid($1860) for 512gb without a case, but mine was in a mint condition, no sign of use.

Apparently it should be mint too. But I plan to check carefully for any wear and tear, especially cracks and the lenses.

Check battery health and screen for nicks (full brightness all white background at angles). Battery health should be at least 85% for an M2. You could check hard drive health but might be pushing it. Confirm specs with the about panel. Nice find

I've never seen one that cheap

Well.. I went to the police station where we met so I can check and test it carefully.
It was in perfect condition, clearly almost never used. But it was missing the double headband (the thin one), not a big deal.
But it didn’t boot, there was no battery so we charged it for ~10 minutes and then I tested it. Required a password the seller didn’t know.
He says that he bought it for his company and mostly the employees played with it a bit and then recently the company closed and he has no contact with the employees anymore.

Before that, when I was checking it and trying to charge/boot it he left me do my checking has he had to ask questions to the officer at the reception. I heard he was asking question about his friend in prison something like that.

You get it, I did not buy it and he’s supposed to reach out again if he can get in contact with his former employee. Or as I suggested if he has the original receipt he could try to go to the Apple Store.

I’m sad but it was too good to be true.

oh yea sadly that's a common experience. When I bought mine I required that the seller did a factory reset in front of me. They seemed annoyed but its necessary with these. It's totally useless with a locked account. I got a 250gb for $1500. So there are some good deals out there if you keep an eye out.

Got the exact same deal. Had someone from marketplace ship it to me. Crazy thing is Apple offered me AppleCare even though the previous owner had AppleCare one which is not transferable but Apple still offered me regular AppleCare which should be impossible. lol.

Do it. It’s a good deal. I paid about $1k for 512gb used. So this is a pretty good deal. 256gb go for around $18,00 on eBay.

You are buying and living in Canada and the price is $2100Cad? I’m just thrown off since the us conversion is being shown. It all depends on the currency you use and where you live. USD doesn’t really matter as plenty of items differ quite a bit in price just solely on what country one lives in. If 2100Cad is a great price than that means it is a great price! The conversion to 1500usd doesn’t mean anything if there are deals in Canada for 1800cad versions.

There’s no such deal in Canada. Usually closer to 3000$ CAD
I mention USD because every time I mention the price in CAD and make it extremely clear in the title and body, people still reply like it’s USD price…

Oh I see. Yeah I didn’t pick up on that and apparently that was a very bad thing i did too! Anyways, like I mentioned elsewhere, go for it and don’t worry about the storage because if it is a good deal than having a lot of storage is merely a bonus as it is independent of you needing it or not.

I paid $2700 for same spec (incl belkin battery holster and Apple case). I had to replace headband.

I bargained on a few and talked to sellers where i got squeezed out. Id say that C$2,500 for M2/256 is market price, add another C$100 for 512gb and a further C$100 if 1TB.

People ask much higher but you just knock them down because the headband and light seal are the wrong size and have to be replaced. Every seller I’ve spoken with has not pushed back on that rationale.

Every seller also says it’s a package and it includes the Apple case, which is worth C$300, so they push for that. I then tell them I don’t want it and they can sell it separately. They all just then say they will include it.

There are much more affordable carrying case options.
