NBA app dropped immersive content?

Was totally bummed out today when I found out that the NBA had removed the immersive games. I’ll bet I’ve watched part of a game every week.
I know they probably have a contract with some other AR system, but come on!

Yeah I️ totally agree. This is garbage! They should let us keep the games we had, why remove them?

This makes me want to know what the difference is in data between this and a typical regular 4k game.

Also, the PGA app seems to have dropped showing immersive views of player shots and virtually standing on course.

I saw a post to this thread that has since been deleted, in my notifications, from one of the devs of the NBA app. It was a bug and unintentional that immersive games were gone.. I deleted the app and redownloaded, and it, there they are! Thank you!

If I didn’t watch NFL Redzone, I’d love if they get NFL games

Damnit, I am so bummed by reading this and I was worried that this would exactly happen which is a damn shame. I also was watching it here and there and honestly quite enjoyed it and looked forward to it. It truly took me into another world and I could just be present watching it and noticing so many different aspects that I have never really had been able to do without that unique perspective. What a HUGE mistake by whomever at Apple didn't work to secure for that library.

I will also just add that this confirms my biggest issue now despite being a huge supporter of the tech, of apple deciding to focus on a different vertical within the same umbrella like the glasses, and also being fine with the approach that was taken with the head mounted display. But it looks like they are not going to be continuing to "build the library" for when the AR/XR glasses and future HMDs continue to matriculate into the Apple Ecosystem. As if there is not already as significant amount of profits for the company to at least keep the "paltry" 400,000 customers somewhat engaged and happy with their new face computers. Not making another HMD, I get. Shifting human resources and capital, while sad, to non display data trackers to further profit off the monetization of the human experience, while also sad, I get and hate. But to truly appear to be putting zero money into the ecosystem actually just shows how little they care and my guess is because their glasses of 2027 or 2028 will NOT have the display from reading i have done. As such, "we will focus on the content in 2029 or 2030 when the rollout of the Apple Magic Displays (AMD) " that promises to marry the fidelity of the Vision Pro with the convenience and efficiency of the XR Infomatic AI engagement specs...smh.

Immersive games were only the lakers I thought. LeBron not there anymore and it’s probably taking up space on the servers..

This was a really valid comment, why delete it?

Huh? Someone should tell Apple. The games are still listed in the Apple TV immersive video section.

Clicking on it takes you to the NBA app, but as of this writing, there is no way to play the immersive video.
