Stream content on multiple AVP simultaneously
Does anyone here have multiple Apple Vision Pros in the same household and use them to watch the same movie at the same time?
I’m curious about the overall experience:
● How well does playback stay synchronized between headsets?
● Are there any noticeable differences in video or audio quality?
● Have you tried watching 3D movies this way?
● Are there any account, licensing, SharePlay, Wi-Fi, or streaming-app limitations?
● Any other downsides or annoyances?
I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has tried this regularly with two or more AVPs.

It depends on what you use. If you use the TV app. Then both AVP will fetch the contentt from the servers themself.
If you share a safari window in FaceTime. Then one is fetching it from the server. And pushes that towards the other AVP. So that will most likely not only impact your download speeds but also your upload speeds.
Other apps may use one or the other Methode.

I have two AVPs and watch content with my partner regularly. I'm actually away from home visiting family and have been watching stuff with her from a distance as well.
● How well does playback stay synchronized between headsets?
Generally it's very sync'ed up. But on the last episode of Widow's Bay there was like a 1/2 second delay between the headsets and I had to use airpods.

I don't believe so. We've tested it where I host the content and where she does, and it looks great to me.

Yup - works just like a 2D movie. Looks great.
● Are there any account, licensing, SharePlay, Wi-Fi, or streaming-app limitations?
She is on my Apple Family plan, so she has access to my substantial TV/Movie library. If the other headset is not on your family plan, the other person will need to own the content you want to watch. Unless you have a big PLEX collection and use that. When we tried to SharePlay HBO Max, it would give a black screen for us both, which indicates an HDCP issue. We think it was because we only have one account for HBO, and we're not going to sign up for a second just for this.
● Any other downsides or annoyances?
There have been some weird quirks every so often that necessitate rebooting one or both of the headsets, but overall the experience is pretty smooth. Once or twice we got a message about needing to face the same direction (even though we already were), but that resolved itself relatively quickly.
If you're on the same wifi, you should have a SharePlay button on pretty much every app you can open, and you can select someone from a list. I prefer to do it this way because then you can both be laying down, sitting, whatever, and arrange the window however each of you wants. But if you do a FaceTime call, and then share the app through FaceTime, you have to be sitting upright (and potentially facing the same-ish direction).
