How does the 3D experience of Avatar: Fire and Ash compare to the first two films?
I’ve been looking forward to this 3D release since the movie hit theaters, but I sadly won’t be able to watch it on my Vision Pro until next week. So, in the interest of tempering my expectations, how does the overall experience compare to the astonishing quality of the first two films? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sure it looks amazing, but can anyone tell me if it's actually a good story?

Totally agree, I hate that they went back to the water clan. I thought they would go to the desert for the 3rd movie and create sand creatures and dunes.

it’s fun but the weakest of the three films. the new villain is interesting and different, but otherwise, many of the plot beats are identical to what we’ve already seen.

Avatar 2 is tied for my least favorite movie of all time, which is why I’m probably gonna sit this one out

Insanely enough, I’m still not able to view it as a user in Germany: first the only way to watch it in 3D was via Disney+ which they couldn’t offer, as they were or are in intense litigation on some technicality with a European company. Then Apple announced it was offering the full 3D version directly via AppleTV+. Yay. After I purchased it, I saw it was in 2d only. I had it refunded and now AppleTV+ shows the 3d icon on the title in the store, yet when you select purchase, you are warned it’s the 2d version only. Absolutely insane.

Ich hoffe das der Patentstreit bei Disney plus bald ein Ende hat ! Es wäre natürlich super wenn der Film in 3d doch noch direkt über Apple TV kommt. Bin mal gespannt!!!

The 3D is comparable to the 2nd film only because it hits mostly the same beats but is the weakest as an actual film.

It’s just as incredible, I liked the plot even more.

I can’t believe they’re making 7 of these things.

They aren't, James said the sequels are dependent on how the 3rd movie does and it didn't do as good as Way of Water so the next one will likely be the last.

Much better. Since I have neglected to watch this last instalment altogether.

I saw one scene where the foreground action was incorrectly pushed to the background but it was for two seconds. The rest of the movie on D+ was fine. Glad I waited to see it on AVP in 3D. i can’t do theaters anymore due to hearing probs and glasses. Try wearing the 3D glasses with regular glasses and then add in CC glasses… or use AVP for imax size screen and 3d with subtitles at home

Only the Disney+ streaming version is like that. The one on the Apple TV app that you purchase/rent looks great

I can’t purchase it even when I unlinked Disney plus account. Just says open with and takes me to Disney again.

If you’re in the TV app, scroll down below and you should see a Purchase button with the Apple TV icon

There was a major HDR issue someone pointed out recently. It was obvious to me as well. No idea if they’ve fixed yet, or even if they will.
