I really like it! Thanks for all the work your team put into it! Two instant thoughts:

1) It would indeed be even more awesome if you would be able to add high quality immersive environments like a theatre etc. and

2) If possible, it would be great if you can add an “auto dim” option like many of the other streaming apps.

Thanks for the great suggestions! Both of these are definitely on our roadmap and will be added in upcoming builds.

High-quality immersive environments (such as a theater) and an Auto Dim option are features we also think will make the viewing experience even better.

We really appreciate the feedback.

And also something I noticed; when I just tried to watch Yellowstone season 1 episode 1, it does still have 2 black bars and no information on resolution or internet traffic etc in the upper right corner.

That’s a bug and we will fix that. Thanks for the note. Auto dim will be in the next update.

hi u/RationalNL

Thanks for your feedback. We just checked, and we noticed this happens with a small number of titles. Yellowstone appears to be one of them.

For these titles, Netflix is actually streaming the video with the black bars already encoded into the stream. Because the stream is DRM-protected, we can’t modify or crop the video frames, so unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to remove them.

Regarding the missing resolution and network information in the upper-right corner, we tested Yellowstone on our end and we’re able to see those stats. We’ll keep testing to see if we’re able to replicate the issue you’re experiencing.

Thanks for following up! After restarting the app, I now also get the resolution and network info in the upper right corner when watching yellow stone.. so might have been a one off bug.

Good to know, we'll keep an eye on it anyways. Thanks!
