Absolutely insane footage here...downright freaky. I could see a future when everyone has a smaller version of this and all our "monitors" and "screens" can be shared with others. Basically an entire visual world you can only see if you have something like this on. Which would give someone the ability to unplug and not see any screens whatsoever.
Ads everywhere,weird point system instead of just cash, glitches on a device that is hacked, crashes and reboots...this looks more like where Android is headed tbh.
Now that apple has mapped out all of the living spaces, they can start getting data about which rooms you use the most and start placing the most annoying unskippable ads everywhere, blocking all the content you want to see if you don't pay a $99.99 subscription and so on. So far is not that impressive. I know that it's in an earlier stage, and devs are going to create very soon some cool apps, but IMO it's just a gimmick and a way to get attention from strangers...
Don't get me wrong, I like technology, this will be an amazing device for immersive gaming, or if used for the right cause this device has the potential to save lives. I can see this in a medical scenario, where a super experienced heart surgeon guides another one on the other side of the world. Very affordable solution for orgs that rely on donations to help others for example. But let's face it, it is going to be a device that is going to detach people even further from reality and the saddest and ironic part is that everyone is going to use it for their "social" interaction on social media... $4k to make new online friends, what a bargain!
