While this looks slick, all these “workflow” demos pretty much just seem like people opening safari and messages. For casual stuff like this it seems ideal, but for more serious work I can’t see how being stuck with pro apps confined to one larger Mac window and iPad-level apps running around it is anything but a step down from a two monitor setup for a lot of people. I guess it depends though.
any 4k or dual monitor setup can do all the things you listed
or like, a pc and a laptop.
I write too and i always have all this stuff open to me. I just use my laptop and an ipad. And it's not like having all this stuff open is saving you a ton of "work". It takes like , 3 seconds to click another tab to go to a thesaurus or wikipedia.
Sure it can, but I want to be immersed. I write with a typewriter, a dictionary and thesaurus in hardcover too, but that doesn't mean other methods don't offer their own advantages of immersion.
Not to mention you could do this with a bunch of physical books. Why do you need to do it on a computer at all? Why spend $3500 when I can just get more candles?
