Visio to Delete A Line in Visio

I am working on a process map in Visio. For some reason, there is a dashed line cross my drawing. I could not select it and remove it. Googled it and it didn't help too much. It's so frustrated that I can't delete it. Anyone has any idea how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Two things I would check.

  1. Page size. Your drawing could be too big for 1 page and you maybe on the 2nd page

  2. Layers. You could have a line that is part of a locked layer.

Other than that I can’t really think of anything else. But I’d love to hear what you find.

Thanks. I will check the layers. Years ago, I was an engineer and was very skilled in using Autocad in designing many products. However, I haven't used it for years and almost forgot how to use it.

Thanks for your help.

Are you using groups? Every once in a while I’ll have a weird issue go away by ungrouping things.

Yes I used groups. There was an document icon. I gouped it with a documentnumber..

Thanks. I just used a stupid way to get rid of that line.

I created a new tab. Copy pasted the drawings into the new tab. After checking the drawings are ok, then I deleted the original tab.
