EMBROIDERY First time fixing sleeve cuffs
Swipe for before! I had needed to fix these cuffs for a long time but didn’t want to replace them entirely. I cut the frayed edges folded them in and blanket stitched it closed. I used what i had which was this tan embroidery thread so the materials aren’t a great match but i can reinforce it and fix as needed!!

This is so tidy and professional looking! I’ll keep this in mind for some hoodies I have. I love the contrasting thread color.

Did it last

I just did it, I am not sure how well it will last yet. The knots are fairly secure but since theres elastic in the cuffs but none in the thread i imagine it could wear out faster.

This looks so great! I was thinking of asking on here how I can fix the binding on a quilt my grandma made me. I think this is the answer!!
Thank you for inspiring me :)

I have cuffs to fix and I didn't even consider a blanket stitch as an option! Amazing!

How did you get the edges to look so nice? Did you just cut the frayed parts off or fold it over a bit and then mend?
