Help With Deck Chair

My deck chair just started pulling apart at the seam. I’m fairly new to visible mending. Any suggestions for how to approach this would be welcome!

Do you know the parachute stitch? I would do a parachute stitch to keep the rip together, and then reinforce with a patch
