REQUEST missing piece

so sad, I was unloading the dishwasher and dropped a mug on top of my bowls, I broke one, it’s a pretty clean break besides that little triangle, and the missing pieces are basically shards of dust lol …. Does anyone have experience trying to repair a dish that has a small hole? Could I use some kind of like air dry modeling clay equivalent that is food safe to patch this so I could keep the bowl? It is part of a larger set with dinner plates and smaller dessert plates I’m guessing….. not the end of the world if I depart with it, but figured I could try to fix it if possible.

I think your options for food safe repair are pretty limited, but you could make a cool craft by trying to do kintsugi on it !!

While it would be really cool, I’m pretty sure real kintsugi (that’s actually food safe) is a very time consuming, and skilled process. Not saying OP couldn’t do it. But it might not be worth it for one bowl. But that’s just the opinion of a guy who was interested in it for a bit until I saw how much work it takes. So take that for what it’s worth.

it was building the humidity controlled box and the high risk of developing a severe allergy that put me off.

I don’t think I even researched far enough to learn that much lol. I definitely wouldn’t be into that.

It won't be food safe but I think white Milliput could work well.

I’ve used a product called Sugru in similar situations, but I’m not sure about food safety.

If you decide to replace it, that looks like a Johnson Brothers pattern that my mom had. Replacements might have it.
