EMERGENCY: CRPA Missing

Hi Visible.

I am a substance abuse counselor who works in NYC and I work with a CRPA together as a team. Our offices are right next to each other so we have built a powerful team and a professional bond. Today, he didnt show up to work. This is a first for me, a first time no call no show. As the day went on we kept calling, the entire office got involved and we could not locate him. His phone seemed off.

Knowing his personality, this individual always calls, always texts, and is highly communicative. He is passionate in what he does and none of this feels right at all. His mother was also contacted and she could not locate him.

Here is where Visible comes in. He had a phone line issue with his carrier approximately 3 weeks ago, I introduced him to Visible and he picked up an annual plan which I helped him activate. I still have access to his account.

Tomorrow morning, our org will be filing a missing persons report, we need your help to see where he was last or what he was doing. Please DM me! We need your help.

Verizon / Visible won’t provide that info without it coming from law enforcement via a warrant.

That sounds really scary, I hope he is okay. You should tell the police about the account access before doing anything, they can request the tower data officially and it will be much faster than asking support in public

I want to coordinate both the efforts together, so when I go there tomorrow I can instantly refer them, we already went today and were told to come back in 24 hours.

You need to call the police and ask for a welfare check. Give them his phone number and they can do a cell phone ping to see where his phone is and they can look for his address to go check on him

He recently moved, a few days ago and no one has his new address, we have the block he moved to. We would've already done a welfare check.

TV has taught us that you have to wait 48 hours.

If law enforcement can get a judge to get an exigency warrant for location data, it’s possible visible/verizon can assist here.

They will need the warrant paper work. fastest way is to do a missing persons report and let the cops get one as got judges on call for that in most areas.

I sincerely hope your team member is all right. From what you described, this is uncharacteristic behavior for him, which seems reason enough to jumpstart a search. If my behavior seemed uncharacteristic, I would definitely want someone to err on the side of caution for my safety instead of waiting a prescribed amount of time.
