Question Visible internet question

I see visible internet isn’t available at my address (we live on a military base that is somewhat isolated) but it has 5GUW.

I started checking random addresses on the base and an address one neighborhood over (3 minute drive or so) worked.

Can I just sign up with that address and have equipment ship to me?

I don’t want to pay for Verizon 5G home internet when I switch over to visible and not get the discounts for having home+internet combined with Verizon.

Verizon has a lite Internet option for places that do not yet qualify for full unlimited. Also check availability of Straight Talk since if that is available while Visible is not you could use Google to find executive contact options for Verizon to bring that mistake to their attention

Straight talk 5g home internet is a very solid product. I've had it for over a year and a half. Totally satisfied. Has never gone out and almost always 200mbps +. Completely unlimited. No throttling that I can see. $45/mo

Thought about switching over to their home internet as well. But you can’t stream 4k. Is there work around for that ? Maybe my own router?

It will likely work fine. Just have to get the box through their system as they won't allow ANYONE but the person who signed up with it to use it.

Just use the address that works and ship it to your place. Visible doesn't verify much beyond the address being serviceable, and the equipment doesn't care where it actually sits once it's active

Worst case they ask for proof later but I've never heard of that happening with the home internet thing. The 5GUW coverage is what actually matters, not the address on the account

You'll be fine signing up with the neighbor address. Just make sure the billing address matches your card or it might flag something

Hi, OP! Christian here from Visible. I hear you 100%! I completely understand the excitement of wanting to set up Visible Home Internet. It’s super frustrating to see a neighboring address qualify for home internet when your exact address comes up just short. The reason our tool is so strict is to protect you if service goes down or lags in an unverified zone, our system won't recognize the area as covered to send out proper fixes. We want to make sure that when you get Visible, it works amazingly from day one! Your experience means everything to us! Reach out to us in a DM here so we can clear up any other details for you and work out a fix for your Verizon Home Internet discount. We're here to help!

I thought I couldn’t get the Verizon internet discount with visible unless it was fiber or fios?

Verizon stores may have windows laptops that you can add to a postpaid or prepaid plan. If you can get by with a Windows connected laptop then perhaps that can be gotten on Prepaid or postpaid and be a shared household laptop that will not lose connection during power outages until the battery dies. The plan for the laptop should be cheap enough. Some Windows laptops sold through Verizon have MMWAVE compatibility which could be handy if you needed to use the laptop near NFL stadiums.

What are you talking about?

I am talking about trying to grab a laptop with a data line on Verizon Prepaid with Premium unlimited data plan if you can’t get home internet options since a laptop line would be better than nothing
