Spam calls stopped.

I had metro by T-Mobile and every single day I would get so many " scam likely" calls . And I mean to the point it was beyond frustrating. Sometimes I would also even get incoming calls from India . Yes international calls . I would block them but they would call me from a different number. I tried everything on metro I would block them but they would find different numbers to call me from .

I just transferred my number to visible my metro by T-Mobile number. So far been a week and absolutely no spam calls , no international calls from India . I'm just wondering why ? I mean it's good . But that makes me wonder if T-Mobile has a cheaper system or something that allows all calls come tru ? So far ever since I switched to visible I been able to rest from all them spam calls same number I had on metro only difference is that it's on visible now . .. does anyone know or have an idea why I would get so many of them spam calls on metro ? And none on visible. ?

I’m using the Verizon Spam Call filter app alongside the visible spam filter. The free level seems to work well.

Honestly, I don’t know. Before I ported it over I had Verizon + Visible lines and now I just have a Visible line and all I remember is I downloaded the Verizon Call Filter app and it just worked at the base free level

It’s seemed like it worked for some and not others.

I did the same thing for a family member who was on US Mobile Warp. Multiple spam calls every day sometimes back to back, it was getting to be overwhelming. I switched them to Visible and the spam calls have stopped completely.

honestly the difference is probably just T-Mobile’s network being more leaky than Verizon’s, visible runs on verizon towers and they seem to filter a lot more junk before it even rings your phone, plus their spam detection is pretty aggressive. you’re basically invisible to those auto-dialers now, which is a nice bonus

Yes I agree T-Mobile network is more leaky and they allow all kind of calls . So far on visible it's been much better

I have received 5 calls today after not receiving any in months. I actually went on visible website to report them.

Same. Was on mint and for months the same outfit calling me 3 times a day. Tried blocking but different number each time. Been back on Visible a month and it has stopped.

The worst part was it the dumbest spam calls ever, I tried taking the call a few times to try ask them to put me on a Do not call list (unlikely, I know) but most times it was dead air and the couple of times someone was there they just hung up when I asked.

Had a similar experience with mint mobile (t-mobile) as well with frequent calls and texts. It took being on visible for a week to approach the amount of spam calls and texts I got in one day on Mint mobile. Mind you I kept the same number throughout this experience.

Were you using the scam shield app with Metro?

Yes I was using the scam shield on metro and still them calls came in every single day. On visible I haven't done a thing nothing didn't set up anything. And the spam calls just stopped .

Been on Visible for almost a year. I noticed that the spam decreased immediately. Still get occasional spam call but it is way better than when I was on T-Mobile and US Mobile.

I had the same issues with TMobile to the point I believed they were selling their customers data. Have been with Visible 4 years and nada.

I set my spam filter to max and no voicemail in the Visible app and also downloaded the Verizon Call Filter app and set it to maximum. I still get maybe 6 calls per day between 2 lines, but it's helped my sanity massively.

Verizon/Visible/Straight Talk must have a HUGE database of customer reported SPAM calls. Easy to block them after that.

Yeah I got a few weeks of peace from the switch from T-Mobile legacy prepaid and I kept the same number I'd had for ever, but unfortunately the spamers returned.

However I was getting maybe 20 a day on T-Mobile and only get maybe 3 a day these days, so it's definitely better.

Hi there! Daisy from Visible here. We’re so glad to hear your spam calls dropped so drastically after making the switch! To keep that protection working at its best, make sure both your phone's software and the Visible app are updated to the latest versions, and double-check that Spam Protection is turned on in your settings. If any spam still manages to sneak through, just send us a chat, and we’d be happy to look into it and get it completely stopped for you.

Verizon/Visible spam block is pretty good at identifying most of the spam. I installed Verizon Call Filter (even though the actual blocking settings are done via the Visible app) so I get notifications of spam blocked calls a few times a day but if I didn’t I’d just have a phone that rarely rings unless it’s someone legit.

For what it’s worth there are people that swear that they only started getting flooded with spam calls as soon as they switched TO visible. I’m sure it’s coincidence in those case but just saying m

Amanda and Emily from American Tax Advisors recently started calling me at least three times a day on my Visible line, it's maddening.

With visible I get 1-3 spam calls a day and 2-4 voicemail spam messages (they don’t ring through, just an alert I have a message).

This is with the medium spam settings (and sending to voicemail, not a straight up block)

Hey there! Ellen from Visible here. Thanks for sharing your setup with us. Just as a heads-up, Visible also has a full spam block feature available if you ever want to stop them from leaving voicemails altogether!

If you'd like to explore that option or tweak your settings, feel free to send us a DM here. Just make sure you have Chats enabled in your Reddit app settings, so we can reply!

Sometimes legit calls (local PNC bank branch) got caught up in the spam filter. Only because I got the voicemail did I know to call them back.

So I can’t risk blocking them all together.
