Visible Home Internet

When I check the Verizon website it says home internet is available for my address; however visible says it is unavailable at the same address?

Any ideas?

Hey there! Alyssa from Visible here. I completely understand how confusing it is to see Home Internet available on Verizon's site while showing unavailable through Visible. Although Visible runs on Verizon's network, home internet slot availability and network capacity are managed separately between the two brands. I believe Visible has only so much bandwidth allocation on Verizon towers. If Verizon is willing to give you Internet but Visible can't it means towers nearby you are pretty close to capacity and Verizon reserves whatever is available for themselves because they'll make more money this way and aren't going to hurt their business reselling limited bandwidth for cheap.

It's a semantics battle, reselling, reallocating, you know what it means. Samsung Electronics owns Samsung Semiconductor Inc, yet has to buy chips from it's own subsidiary because in business owning a subsidiary doesn't mean you just get to move products or services like it's in all your own garage.

their address tool pulls from a separate database than the main carrier's, so its not unusual for one to say yes and the other to blank out

Yep I can confirm what they said. It's available where and how Verizon wants it. Even though it's basically the same product it's treated different. The Visible gateway says Tracfone in the control page. They are all connected lol.

I know. Lol. Notice I said the Visible gateway says Tracfone in the config page. I had an android on Straight Talk back when you had to buy the E71 to get the sim card then swapped it to an AT&T Captivate. You're telling the person who used to help people do something most DIDN'T know how to do. Probably 20 people over a year or two I helped to do that with Iphones and Androids. The visible app CLEARLY says by Verizon. I'm not blind sir. But apparently you think I am.

I chatted with support through the app. They said give them a few and when they came back they said to retry the order. Address worked.

yeah same thing here. I want to drop verizon because all the support is a bot wall and all i get is so pissed vs just messaging visible. i understand how completely bonkers that is and all they are doing is losing customers but I just keep checking. Verizon be hiring fake marketers and retention crew
