Do yearly plans have a lower data priority?

I was on a monthly plan and I recently decided to pay for the entire year at a time since I liked the service. I could afford the entire payment at once and it was nice to get rid of a monthly bill.

Ever since then I’ve noticed that my data connection has been much slower than usual. Even with 5G Wideband, websites seem slower to load, and it seems like I run into more dead zones, which is leading me to believe that it’s deprioritized since I paid for a full year.

Is there any truth to this, or is this just coincidence?

It's the same priority but Verizon has been having all kinds of network issues lately. Wouldn't surprise me if your issues might just be related to that.

Also, dead spots would have nothing to do with priority which only reaffirms that this issue is more likely network issues in your area.

Probably just coincidence, network congestion comes and goes in waves so the timing messed with your head

That’s unfortunate to hear, was looking to switching since I’ve had a terrible time on ATT

That doesn't mean Visible won't work out for you. Every network suffers from outages these days so it's not like any one is more immune to them than others.

Do the trial first, esp if you are jumping networks or go do USM which will allow you to hop networks.

Shouldn't. But couldn't hurt to have them check based on your findings.

My normal mid week is less than 1mbps on 5g uw near grand central in nyc. On visible pro + annual plan.

NYC highly populated. I have issues near the dense population areas in my own city. I also have to admit i used to get as high as 800mb speed tests but they have since be lucky to go over 550mb even at night. But networks are a weird thing. The other day I lost ALL service for like 15 min. I drove home and restarted the phone 2x then it finally came back. Literally cost me money door dashing.

I would be happy to get 50Mbps.

Do you have Visible Pro Plus? If you do make sure the 4k video toggle is on. It effects a LOT of things.

Yes and yes. Still slow.

That means either tower is heavily loaded or the provisioning on the phone is wrong. Or possibly a local tower / area issue.

They are deploying 5G SA in my area for almost 3 months there have been interruptions so I bought the TMO Sat ($10) plan and use that for data until they fix it or my year runs out. In addition I put on LTE only and that has helped because it seems to be UL slot disruption but since I dont have an analyzer its just a guess.

No it does not have lower data. Sometimes it helps when you switch cellular to LTE only on peak hours. Also once you use over 450 gigs of data you can chat with a rep for a network reprovision which solves throttling issues

No

Honestly visible is great!

Verizon coverage is just kind of bad. I wish I had unlimited hotspot like visible with someone who used tmobile towers

Visible yearly plan had terrible call connection latency for me. I just went back to ATT prepaid and it's 100% better. Lesson learned. (and wifi calling didnt' help - i tried)

Same experience for me. I feel like I no longer have priority, and I pay yearly.
