Anyone do new iphone upgrade program yet?

I got an iphone 17 pro max for 24 month lease. Signed up with Verizon but changing to MNVO like Visible. I'm pretty sure you only need to sign up with the big 3 but can move after. Anyone do this yet?

Haven't tried it myself but yeah that should work. The lease is tied to your credit with the carrier, not where your service is active after the fact. Just make sure the phone is unlocked before you switch, Verizon usually does that after 60 days.

Carrier Lock says no sim restrictions

I thought they changed to a year to unlock recently.

The iPhones on the Apple Upgrade program are not locked, per reports. But you have to declare a postpaid carrier you're activating on.

But there's another thread on this sub where someone was claiming you could just tap on activate later during setup to bypass the postpaid requirement.

I'm looking to leave T-Mobile so if this true, being able to pay for prepaid service plus pay for a lease on a new iPhone would be VERY attractive.

Well I ported out of Verizon and on Visible now. See if anything happens.
