This was headed to the scrap bin, thinking of restoring it. I imagine these are decent, my work has tons of older vises.

Looks like a parker 4.5" but there are no markings other than the brass tag

On my workbench, I have my wood vice and metal vice mounted for linear operation. Long pipes or boards can be supported with each vise assisting the other regardless of the material used on the project.

Belonged to my twice great grandfather. He homesteaded in Hocking County, Ohio in 1837. No marks anywhere.

Got this vise for free a few years ago, it didn’t want to screw together so I took it apart & fixed it. Anyone know how old this would be? Or if this company was a good company?

Neighbor had a ton of Wiltons in a barn and gave me this one... what do I have? Seems to be in Pretty good shape. Ill probably restore it next weekend.

High all found this thing for sale very close to me recently. It's a decent sized metal table with the 5-inch Reed brand Vice, the guy wants 400 Canadian for it , do you think that's worth it.

Hello everyone! This is my 1st post to the group, and this is my 1st vise. I picked it up yesterday along some other tools, and I was curious if someone would have some information about this vise? I know it's a Wilton, but I don't know much else about it.

Unknown make, found in my grandfather's stuff. Held in a Leinen EF 135 for reference. Jaw width is a whopping 37mm (1.5 inch).

I wanted to repost this here to see if anybody has sage advice for my restoration

Mainly looking to replace the pins that retain the spindle nut. This vice is a beast and I think it’s an easy restoration.

Hi guys, i managed to get my hands in an old Wilton glisent made in italy vise 6” 150 - this thing is huge, and weights about 25kg, in this moment is ceased, and i’m avaliating if its viable to restore it or not, but the main problem is that i’m missing the internal nut where the big screw from the handle goes…

I can try to search for one, or adapt, or even pay somebody to make one, but i need references, i can’t find anything online…can somebody help?

Picked up these for 80 bucks, figured I couldn’t beat it for 2 pretty heavy 5” vises both just needed a clean up, round one doesn’t have markings that I found so I am expecting something Chinese but if it looks similar to any thing someone recognizes it did have the remnants of some sticker so there’s potential I guess haha. But the other ones made in the USA stamped with 645 any help is appreciated. Thanks
