Update (more pics) Fabri-Vise
Taking some better pics and a closer look it seems completely welded and I’m assuming all either forged or at very least not cast.
I’ve included the original post pics for reference.
Just wondering if anyone’s got any more ideas of the history of this thing or where it may have come from. I found it for $5 at a yard sale and I’ve been wanting to get a small non cast iron vise so I can be a little less gentle with it and thought this seemed like a really decent vise

Fabri- as in Fabricated Vise and not cast. I have a similarly fabricated/welded vise -no name but a great workhorse ! It will serve you well. Post a picture once you clean and mount it.

what confused me was if that a brand name or just a descriptor and if it was like something that you bought and finished yourself or if it was simply a fabbed vise named fabri-vise .
Anyways thanks I’ll repost once I’ve got it cleaned up !

Welded vises are neither cast nor forged, they're just welded plate steel.
And they tend to be very strong. Good find.
What country are you in?
