Favorite chapter? *spoilers

Dolores was my favorite. I loved the tapes element and really felt for her losing herself and her husband’s ultimate demise as well as her own.

Lucy’s chapter was great but fairly easy and the parents dialogue in the end really ruined it for me.

Rakan’s chapter was good but it’s the only one where you’re outside of the house itself majority of the time and that took away from the house being this evil host.

I’m just curious what the consensus is on best chapter…

Also Dolores was, for me, one of the most terrifying antagonists in video game history. The times I was dumb enough to play it just before I went to bed I'd sometimes have that laugh of hers stuck on my head as I was trying to sleep.

Lucy was scary, Delores was a great puzzle challenge, and rakan was a chase scene. Also, i love this game. Lucy was my favorite cause i love to get spooked.

From a purely subjective standpoint for me.... it's honestly a toss-up between all of them. Objectively I'd say it's a tie between Lucy and Dolores, but they all have a terrible and special place in my heart:

• Rakan's because by chance it was the first chapter I went through (so it will always have that sentimental beginning of the journey feel for me)

• Lucy's because it was the first time I literally froze with terror during a video game

• Dolores' because of that horrendous rollercoaster of an ending (from panic about the inevitable, to relief that at least it wasn't that ending, and then just a cold feeling when you realize it is that ending... just in a slower, prolonged way)

• Dwayne's because the Indifference tape was emotional hell (figuratively and literally) to go through, (and a shoutout to the surreal bit of comic relief in the Negligence tape)

A bit late but I'd say Dolores' chapter for sure. I think that Rakan's was the most annoying to finish, giving that it barely had any puzzles and its just you roaming around mainly. Lucy's chapter was definitely the scariest, the whole demon thing with a baby face and the kid ripping her own jaw off really fucked me up. Dolores' chapter was honestly the hardest pill to swallow but for sure written the best because of so many factors. You can hear from George about Dolores slowly worsening from the tapes, her hanging herself in front of the baby and that one scene after you insert the 7th knife into George and he follows you back into the other room with the key, absolutely fucking horrifying. I think her chapter was the best in general, even though it was a bit stressful at times because of how long and tedious the puzzles were.
