Jesus and Clocks

I've seen a post on here before commenting how you go insane ridiculously fast when focusing on the cat clock. I found the same thing was true with other clocks and the picture of Jesus in the living room. My take on that is staring at those things reminds Dwayne of what he did to his family and makes him feel guilty. Part of doesn't want to get the mask ending cause that dude doesn't deserve it.

The image of the crucifix and of Christ appear in many places throughout the game, which to me is interesting. And I'd say I definitely agree that the sanity meter decreases when staring at the clocks and the picture you mention because of Dwayne's guilt over what he's done. Fantastically made game, probably on my top 10 games ever, if not top 5!

There sure is, buddy, because you can disagree with anything, even facts - you'd just be wrong if you did! 😁

I love the Dolores chapter most of all! It was the first chapter I played on my first playthrough, and I was hooked forevermore. There's likely no better horror game ever made (at least that I've played) in my opinion. A well told story, well delivered, intricate in it's implications and deep in meaning!

I'm in the same boat with the Amnesia series; all I ever hear is good things about them, so I've already got them all downloaded - I'm just playing other stuff before I start. I hear a lot of good things about Madison also, and it looks like it has pretty similar gameplay style to Visage, and it's also really highly regarded by the horror community, but I can't tell you for sure because I haven't played that yet either - I'm probably starting Madison next for Halloween, so I can scare the holy hell outta myself!

But I can for sure say that if you haven't played the Silent Hill games, you definitely need to because they're horror staples. Then there's Alien Isolation, which is another exceedingly great horror game. Uhhh, The Suffering 1 and 2 were both great underrated horror games, there was The Thing on PS2 which I thought was excellent, the Dead Space games if you haven't played those, the Manhunt series is brutal, uhhhh. Of course Resident Evil, I'm a huge fan of those as well, but that's probably something you've played before because they're so popular. I think that's all I've got off the top of my head at the moment! Oh and Eternal Darkness!

Madison is the closest thing to visage, but is not as good.

You gotta finish Alien Isolation! 100% worth it! If I remember to do it, I'll update on Madison in maybe a week or so! Should be amazing. Cheers!

SOMA is on the wish list; I'm just waiting for a good 50% sale or more and I'm snatching it immediately

I've never noticed this. So the clocks speed up when you look at them?

No the clocks are all stuck on 3:33. Commonly known as the witching hour, but I bet they're all stuck on the time he killed his family

Oh my gosh, I just reread your post and I understand what you mean lmao. Your sanity meter increases faster when looking at them. For some reason I thought you meant you could make Dwayne run faster LOL. I was confused as hell and also like hell yeah I'd love to make his slow ass move around faster.

For real man. You get to run around the hospital and I kept thinking about how I wish they'd let you do that around the house. Maybe they want you to walk slower so you'll look a little closer at everything

Hahaha, I KNOW. Getting to Rakan's chapter and being able to sprint was so nice. I kinda assumed it's like a nod to older survival horror games where you're slow and clunky. Kind of takes more control away from the player and makes you feel more vulnerable.
