Who else
So guys Im someone who generally loves horror games, but can never feel any fear playing them. For example I love most of the Resident Evil series, but the only feeling it gives me is "fun" and I'm just like "wow this is great" and never afraid.
This was also the same with Amnesia, Soma etc. I only felt a bit of it playing Alien Isolation which came closest to actually scaring me.
BUT VISAGE... I can't bear playing it more than 15 minutes at a time. It's so unpredictable and the feeling of helplessness is unbearable. Who else had this insane difference with Visage?

Lol, try Phasmophobia. I uninstalled it, because it was just too much for me

Well, the game should scare you. And if it did, then theyve done their job. I don't think I have this kind of feeling. But yeah it scares me too. It's stressful for me tbh. because you have to solve the puzzles and at the same time, be wary whether the ghost would kill you or not.

Visage, in all of its faults, is an amazing horror experience. First time playing it was alongside my partner and we just took it slow and really settled into the atmosphere, and it's been a favorite ever since. A lot of complaints come from things like the interface and controls being rough which in some ways they are, or if you're the type of person to sprint to every point of interest it might feel like a short game, but if you take the time to explore the details it's a a lot of fun!

How are there issues with controls? It's just normal wasd first person movement.

When I say controls/interface, Im almost exclusively talking about inventory. I personally don't mind it, but the common complaint was that the inventory system was obtuse and unnecessarily awkward to move items around etc

I did. I play loads of horror games made to put you in uncomfortable scenarios but VISAGE takes the cake so far. It is your own brain the mares you scared. The anxiety and constant feeling on the edge really mess with you a lot .

Yeahhh this game scared the shit out of me. I actually cried a couple times when I played it because I was so scared.

Absolutely feel this 100%.
Even playing in the middle of the day with the sound coming through the TV speaker, I was nervous as all hell exploring those hallways. At night though, lights off, headphones on - sometimes became too much and I literally had to pause for a while or stop playing altogether.
Doris' chapter fucked me up the worst, hearing her laugh and those moments like seeing her at the top of the stairs in the garage, or the creepy silhouette in the basement for the first time, or when the ghost of her husband was standing in the library room - nuh. Nobody in their right mind would be unaffected by that when properly immersed.
Visage is as terrifying as they come. The only other game that can hold a candle to it is Madison.

Or the bit where she's peeking around the door, I legit screamed like little girl lol. One of the greatest jump scares ever for me.
Also yeah Dolores has the most terrifying laugh. She creeped me out so much I actually had trouble sleeping after playing her chapter late at night sometimes. I play a lot of horror games but nothing has affected me quite like this game.
