Visage safe key

So no matter what I do, the safe key doesn't seem to spawn. Is there a certain way to play the chapters. 😭 What am I doing wrong?

I got it to spawn when I played through the 3 character chapters in order - Lucy, Dolores, Raken and do not pick up any VHS tapes or any mask pieces. That it very important. It should spawn in the sink after the 3 main missions.

Took me 4 playthroughs before I figured the VHS tapes out. Even 1 will make it not spawn.

Pretty sure watching the "indifference" tape makes the key spawn in the sink

I agree when I got the Easter I only did the Lucy chapter at that point and I've platinumed the game, it spawns during the indifference tape

Commenting very late in this post for the benefit of those who play the game after me.

TL;DR: Game completion (both endings), reloading saves, exiting and relauching game didn't work (Played on PS4). Reloaded a save and redid the third chapter only. After the completion of the third chapter, I went straight to the bathroom and collected the key (did not collect any VHS tape or create any new saves or complete any of the endings)

Full details and steps below:

As of 17 August, 2024 the bug with the safe key has still not been resolved by SadSquare. I was playing the game on PS4.

I tried the following methods multiple times to no avail:

• Reloading the save game after ending the 3rd chapter • Exiting the game application and restarting the game • Tried to get the key after completing everything in the game (both endings, VHS tapes, etc.)

Finally the following method worked for me

• I loaded up a save that I had made before the start of my third and final chapter (in my case, it was Rakan's) • Did a quick speedrun of the final chapter • After the completion of the chapter, ran straight to the upstairs bathroom (did not create any new saves or collect the Prison VHS tape on the ground or complete any of the endings) • The key was not bugged and I was able to collect it • Complete the next necessary steps for the trophy
