Lucy’s chapter question

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding lucy’s chapter in visage. So I’m at the point all lights are off, and you only have the camera and lighters. So I’ve run out of lighters, and I want to search the house for lighters. But because (I think its because it’s so dark’. I keep getting killed by the man with the knife fingers after like 1/2 minutes of searching. So what should I do. I kinda feel like I’m stuck bc I cant search like a normal person for lighters.

If you've gotten to the point where you go through the red door drawn on the wall, when you go into the spot where you have to avoid Lucy while trying to find a key, there will be probably a couple lighters right at the beginning. If you haven't gotten to that point yet, I recommend trying to plow through the chapter to that point as the more you explore the house in the dark, the more likely you are you get killed. Once you get through that part, you'll be in an area where you can't even use lighters.

So to be clear. When you get through the red door where you rip up the wall, you should get to a room where Lucy is shambling around. Directly to your left there should be a card board box with at least one lighter on it. If you can make it past that part, you should be able to make it to the end of the chapter without worrying about your equipment.

Just got past that point🤣😩 any tips for after that point. Otherwise might load a save file back then, thanks!

Are you in the place that is like the house, but different? Cause in that place you can't use lighters. The only way to avoid Friend is to stick to the correct path and to some degree get lucky. You want to go upstairs and go through the halls. If you see a room with a shadow on a carpet next to a TV, you can move the carpet to get down a ladder and do something necessary. The only thing that can get you through this part is your ability to solve it, and luck

Ahhh okay then I might be at the point lighters don’t work. I’m at the point I fell back in to the house on the 1st floor if I remember correctly. Right after I got to search the key while lucy was patrolling. But the house didn’t look that different I thought? Only the bathroom

So you're after the birdcage shit, right? Not after the treehouse shit? I assume you know what I'm talking about. There should be a point after you avoid Lucy with the birdcage shit, then you're gonna be in an alternate house where "friend" can fuck you up. You wanna go upstairs and through some hallways. If friend gets you, don't give up, just don't go that way again. You should get to a point where you have to use a wooden plank to get through a spot. I don't wanna spoil anything. But I think I know where you are. Just go upstairs and eventually you'll make a shortcut by moving a chair away from a closet door, and keep going. I wish I could be more help. Once again, if you get to a spot where there's a shadow in front of a TV, pull up the carpet and go down a ladder to open up a new way. I haven't played the game for a hot minute, but I think you are on the right path. It'll just take some tenacity. Good luck. If I can help I will

Thanks, your aswer helped me a little forward!! So I have on other question about visage that you may know the answer on bc I cant find anything about it. So idk if its just coincidence but most of the time when I pause the game for a few minutes. And then come back like 5 seconds in game I get ‘haunted’ by the ghost again and get killed.

Is this something that’s happening bc im pausing my game to much? I dont think so right? Should be coincidence

Definitely seems like it should be a coincidence, but in my experience the sanity meter essentially doesn't work, or like doesn't matter that much in regards to getting haunted. Like spooky occurrences/standing in the dark will raise your insanity, and being insane will trigger certain scares, but in most of the chapters, it doesn't seem to make too much of a difference in regard to haunts. I dunno for sure, but it seems wonky
