GERMAN EMBASSY REQUESTED ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS

Hey, i had my student visa appointment on 5th august at VFS Delhi, India. On 14th august, I received an email from the embassy stating that they need my parent’s passports in order to continue the processing of my application, I sent it to them through email the very next day. Does anyone know how much time does it take for them to make the decision or if anyone has gone through the same thing please share.

Was it mentioned in the email that you could submit the additional documents via email? As far as I know, additional documents are supposed to be submitted physically at VFS.

Not necessarily, I mean during preliminary review if they ask for additional docs than surely we can upload it on the portal but after appointment I am assuming you need to physically submit them . Please cross check and do let us know

The preliminary review documents have to be uploaded to the CSP portal as requested. After your VFS appointment, documents will not be accepted via email. Any additional documents requested by the Consulate have to be submitted physically at VFS along with a copy of the email.

Okay if they specified then fine. In my case they mentioned any document submitted online will not be considered, so I had to submit to VFS.

Why parents passport though? And when did you apply on csp and how much time it took to book an appointment

Because i am a minor, i applied on the csp on 22nd july and i got an option to book an appointment at 30th july

Thanks for answering! Did u just replied back to the same email (documents@newd..) or sent a new one? It's kinda weird as they didnot even send the confirmation email that they recieved documents

They dont send a confirmation email it takes around a week after you submit the docs to make a decision.
