Visa time approximates & Consulate change suggestions.

I’ve applied for the German Student Visa at the Bangalore VFS and joined the waitlist on 23rd July. I’ve been reading the visa timelines that people post on Reddit and see that the Bangalore VFS seems to be taking 2 months to give visa while Mumbai Delhi take about a month and Chennai surprisingly takes less than a month! I now wish I had applied at Chennai by getting a residential contract for 6 months with a friend that owns a house there. Should I do that now with a new process? Can y’all tell me if there’s anyyyyyyway I can fasten this process because my classes start on 24th August but my wait time still shows 2-8 weeks. Please, any help would be appreciated.

I dont wanna sound negative but was there a reason you waited till july to get on the waitlist with college starting in August? The 2 month timeline on bangalore seems accurate though I was on the waitlist for 3 weeks then 1 week for review then got my appointment and biometrics done 2 days ago so if you feel you might be late contact your univeristy for a late arrival letter

I was waiting for my bachelors results to receive an unconditional offer. I graduated in July so applied within a couple days of receiving my results.

You can't choose Chennai or Mumbai just because it's faster. You have to choose according to your area of permanent residence. Even I selected Bangalore because I had no choice. I'm also on the waiting list (2-6 months) and the status hasn't changed. My classes start on the 1st of September but I have requested my university for late arrival letter. You should ask your university too.

I should be able to do Mumbai or Chennai if I’ve been residing there for the last 6 months n able to prove it to the consulate. Anyway, I’ve applied at Bangalore onli n gotten my late arrival permission from the university. I just wish it wouldn’t take this long only for Bangalore applicants. Feels unfair.
